The purpose of this dissection was too show how the joints and ligaments move together. It also shows were everything attached and how they also move together.
In this picture you can see the tendon right in the picture on the top that makes it move. if you pull the tendon the leg will move.
This is a picture of a pastern joint it helps move the the foot. it is located at the top of the foot.
This a a picture of were the long bone ends. As you can see there is a lot of cartilage protects the bones. cartilage is important because it covers the joints and the bones to make it harder to rip or tare.
There is bone marrow in the middle of this long bone. the bone marrow is surrounded by compact bone. Now this isent the best longitudinal cut but we tried our best but it has spongy bone around it also.
here is the heel of the foot it is what supports the foot and helps it stand up and move with out the heel there would not be any support. Its important to have a heel it can help you run and jump.
